The Green Residence is a 1100 sq ft., second story addition to a 1950’s ranch in Old Leawood, Kansas.  The owners of the home expressed a desire to transform the exterior of the house in order to create a seamless, modern design.  Environmentally friendly materials, finishes and updated systems are planned, including bamboo flooring (rapidly renewable), Paperstone exterior cladding (recycled content), blow in cellulose insulation and energy star appliances.  Natural ventilation and daylighting are also essential qualities of the design.
